KEPT BY GOD!
There are times when you may feel overwhelmed by circumstances. It is good to be reminded that the Lord is your keeper. He provides the strength that we need to endure hardness as good soldiers, until we can see the victory.
Are you discouraged because you are trying with all your might to overcome a certain situation in your life only to find that it gets worse? Does it seem like you are totally defeated, stressed out, and cannot seem to figure out what to do? Is your back up against the wall and no matter what you decide, there is no way to fix the situation. Well be encouraged – you are up for promotion!
When discouragement comes, fear has likely crept in and we have found ourselves backed up in a corner, not knowing what to do. Every person who has risen up to do the will of the Lord has come face to face with situations and circumstances in which it seems like there is no way of escape.
There were two powerful forces that we have available to us that will ensure us victory during times of great trials and testing. I recall Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, known as the spiritual warfare book where he commends the saints after hearing of their faith and love. With the power of their faith and the love of God in them, they would be able to tap into God’s supernatural wisdom, releasing His power and anointing that would shake the heavenlies.
There’s nothing more disappointing than experiencing the manifested power of God, breaking and destroying Satan’s grip on our lives only to have him come back and try to take it from us again. Many people have experienced healing, forgiveness, and deliverance from the Lord, but have not been able to hold on to their victory.
Often our first step to freedom is learning to cast ALL of our cares on the Lord, knowing that He cares for us affectionately and watchfully. From experience I know that people who have been broken often have a revolving door open to the enemy until they learn to resist him. Therefore, it seems like they are in an ongoing battle against the forces of darkness because trust has always been a factor.
As children of God most of us love Him with our whole hearts and we do our best to live a life that is pleasing to Him. However, when the enemy threatens us, many times we are afraid of stumbling or falling and this fear is what gives him space to work against us.
